In this post Comparison the brother se600 vs se625 Computerized Sewing and embroidery machine.
I have always been a great admirer of Brother combination stitching and embroidery machines, especially the ‘SE’ series machines. They offer an affordable and easy to use way to get a professional quality finish. Brother SE600 and SE625 are two of those machines.
Both machines belong to the same segment, which makes the comparison even more interesting. The question is, what is the real difference between Brother SE600 and SE625? Or is there any difference at all? Let us find out.
Brother SE600 Embroidery Machine
This is a built-in combination machine with 103 built-in stitches and 80 built-in designs to meet your sewing and embroidery needs. In addition, it also has an automatic needle threader, which saves you the trouble of manual needle insertion.
Compared to the traditional sewing machine, the most important feature of this machine is its computer control system. It has a large 37-inch color touch screen that you can modify and preview the color of the line. Plus, you can import your design through the built-in USB port.
Plus, it also has an ultralight work area where you can complete excellent embroidery work. BTW, its price is quite affordable, less than $500. So even if you don’t have much of a budget, you can afford it.
- Automatic needle threader
- Jam- resistant Quick-set drop-in bobbin
- Super bright LED-lit work area
- USB port
- A25-year limited warranty
- The size is a little large
Brother SE625 Embroidery Machine
This is a 2 in 1 machine. First, it has 103 unique sewing stitches, including beautiful decorative stitches and a large one-step buttonhole, which can meet your different sewing needs. Plus, its extended 6.4 x 4.1 h needle-to-arm workspace lets you fold the quilt and complete sewing on larger fabrics. So if you want a sewing machine that can be quilted, don’t miss it!
Most importantly, the highlight of this machine is the designs it has. In addition to the 80 built-in designs, the included CD also has an additional 200 embroidery designs, including letters, stickers, children’s designs, and originals, which can meet your embroidery needs in different situations.
Additionally, it is equipped with a 3.2-color smart LCD touch screen, where you can change the color and style of your designs without computers. As long as you want, you can implement your design on it.
- Automatic needle threader
- Speed control
- USB cable
- A25-year limited warranty
- A little expensive compared with SE600
Brother SE600 Vs SE625 – Major Feature Differences
The obvious difference that anyone can choose from is the front graphics. The front graphics on Brother SE600 are light gray, while on SE625 it is brown. If you are looking for any other feature differences, you will have a difficult time. Because all the other features are identical. Therefore, I am not going to repeat all the common features, as you may already know the characteristics of these two wonderful machines.
The Real Difference
Now the question is, is this all about this comparison? No, there is a twist to it. At the time of writing this post (as of December 23, 2017) the Brother SE625 comes with one additional thing. SE625 comes with an included CD containing 200 embroidery designs. Technically speaking, the CD separates the two.
So is it a big problem? Partly yes and partly no. Since both the SE600 and SE625 come with a USB port to import the designs you like, you can argue that the CD won’t make much difference. But theoretically, Brother SE625 comes with 200 additional embroidery designs in the box compared to SE600. Therefore, the importance of the designs on the CD cannot be completely ignored. Also, the CD contains some attractive designs.
Built-in embroidery designs
This is the biggest difference between these two sewing and embroidery machines, and this is something that can really differentiate one from the other. Although for some of the costs, this difference doesn’t bother them. I mean this difference does not influence why they should choose one.
Brother SE600 comes with 80 built-in embroidery designs, while Brother SE625 has some additional embroidery design options, though not built-in, but on a CD.
I really can’t imagine why anyone would pay extra dollars to get a CD when the sewing machine comes with a USB port that can be used to import any new embroidery designs that you download from the internet.
Although the price difference is not great, Brother SE625 is a bit expensive than SE600, probably due to the additional embroidery designs obtained on a CD.
And since both sewing machines can be used for regular sewing jobs and embroidery, therefore, the embroidery areas of these sewing machines are an important function to pay attention to.
Well, both the Brother SE625 and Brother SE600 have a 4×4 embroidery area, which is good for a combination embroidery machine.
LCD touch screen
Both are a fully computerized sewing machine and therefore come with some cool features that make them one of the best sewing and embroidery machines available on the market today.
Both the Brother SE625 and SE600 come with a large LCD touch screen. For an embroidery machine, the LCD touch screen helps with a quick selection of built-in embroidery designs.
Plus, you can easily select stitches and control other things like stitch length and width when you have the information displayed on the large LCD touch screen.
Brother SE600 Vs SE625 Which embroidery machine should I buy?
Answering the question of which machine to buy out of the two is entirely up to you. When you consider models, you will notice that the differences in features and prices are not huge. If you want to consider the price, you can go to SE625. However, if you want to spend the extra money, you can go for SE600.
Also, if you want more designs and are willing to spend the extra box choose the SE600 as it has more designs on the CD. Now, if you don’t mind using the same designs and aren’t willing to add more money, go for the SE625. Well, why are there more designs? If you need more designs, you can use USB connectivity to import more.
